In Community Photography Studio is the realization of a decade-long dream of a light-filled space for photographers to create and be in community. Our goal is to have a membership base that enjoys collaboration and provides educational opportunities that uplift the photography community.
This studio has two rooms beautiful rooms dedicated to creative exploration. Whether you need a polished headshot, family photography, branding packages, or a place to experiment with your own ideas, the studio is designed to be welcoming and inspiring.
We have a limited number of memberships available and will start accepting applications on Monday, September 15th. If you want to be on the early notification list with details about the studio memberships, send in a contact form.

Studio is located in beautiful Sausalito, CA
Two rooms

Professional lighting and equipment available for rental
Transportation Options:
From San Francisco: Only 15–20 minutes by car or Uber/Lyft ~30 minutes by ferry from the SF Ferry Building or Pier 41 to Sausalito ferry terminal
From Oakland/East Bay: About 40 minutes by car, Lyft, or Uber
From the South Bay/Silicon Valley: Approximately 60–75 minutes by car, depending on traffic
Transportation Options: Ferry to Sausalito, scenic drive over the Golden Gate Bridge, ride share services, or bike along the iconic Golden Gate Bridge to the studio

Sarah Deragon
Hello, I’m Sarah Deragon. I am a portrait photographer, educator, and visual storyteller with over 13 years of experience helping people feel confident, seen, and celebrated in front of the camera.
I specialize in professional headshots, branding photography, and portraits that are natural, dynamic, and full of personality. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with individuals and businesses of all sizes, from Google, Adobe, and Stripe to local entrepreneurs, small businesses, and creative professionals who want images that truly represent who they are.
My work covers a wide spectrum of portrait photography. In the studio, I’ll be focusing on:

I especially love working with people who hate having their photo taken, because with humor, patience, and great lighting, I can always prove them wrong.
Beyond client work, I’m super passionate about teaching. For more than a decade, I’ve lead iPhoneography classes, photo walks, and portrait workshops, sharing practical skills and encouraging others to experiment and grow their creative practice.
I’m also a proud member of the LGBTQ community, and I bring that lens of inclusivity and celebration to everything I do.
